Compensation: $27.00/hr + Incentives

How do our Centralized Diagnostic Technicians Drive Impact?

  • Responsible for accomplishing individual technician duties 
  • Assisting other technicians with diagnostics  
  • Diagnosing a vehicle before the Workshop Manager dispatches it to a technician 
  • Communicate with Workshop Manager for duties and placement 
  • Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards  
  • Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended 
  • Diagnose and repair to specifications- brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems 
  • Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time 
  • Road test vehicles when required 
  • Understand, keeps abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. 
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts 
  • Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins 
  • Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate tool 
  • Document all work performed on the repair order 
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager and remain up to date 
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner 
  • Must wear Safety Eyewear at all times when in the service department 
  • Must wear hard-toed shoes and slip resistant footwear 

We're Looking For:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • 5 years automotive experience  
  • Automotive degree/certificate preferred  
  • Must have successfully completed at least 6 months of continuous employment within the dealership as an automotive technician 
  • Understanding of computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel  
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and be on your feet for extended periods of time 
  • Must be able to lift, lower, push, leverage, and manipulate equipment and/or items weighing up to 50 pounds 
  • Must be reliable and have a good work ethic 
  • Must work well as a member of a team 
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail  
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
